Back At It

August 30, 2011

When you want something so much and miss the brass ring first shot out those are the hardest falls to recover from.

You confidence in yourself is rattled to the core of who you are. The doubt creeps in and the self depreciation starts.

And as you sit there wondering what the hell you were thinking its an awful hard thing to do to pick yourself up and try again.

But as I have taught my children this is exactly what you have to do. I had to remind myself of that last night. And believe me when I say I’m a hard headed stubborn one. It is a blessing and a curse.

Today dawns a new day. I’m done sulking and licking the wounds to my bruised ego. Its time to make dammed sure I pass the next time out. I will make sure I’ve got the hours under my belt and make the most of the month I have left until my retest.

Until tomorrow…
